THE ARBOR ADVISOR
ISA BOARD CERTIFIED MASTER ARBORIST

Tree Inventory
The best start to tree care is becoming informed. Learn from us exactly what you have growing on your property as well as the services your trees need. Let us plot, track and put together a treatment plan for you!
Fertilization
To keep your trees and shrubs healthy with strong growth, we know how to feed them. We offer deep root fertilization for trees and individual fertilization for shrubs.

Pest Eradication
Insects can be harmful to plants. We identify pests and design a plan to eradicate animals that are hurting your trees. Prevent the spread of harmful insects and protect your trees against them with our help.

Pruning
Pruning can stress a tree, cause uneven over-growth, and lead to infection when done improperly by a landscaper without proper training. As certified arborists, we have extensive training and practice in pruning, and can be trusted to do what's best for your tree.

Consultation
Be an informed home owner. Know exactly what, if anything needs to be done with your trees before you move in or before damage is done. Is there a tree you are worried about? Maybe it's less lush than last year. Maybe it's leaning towards your house and it keeps you up at night. We can assess the risk and help with next steps.

The Arbor Advisor will customize a preventative treatment plan based on the needs of the plants on your property. We will inspect the property each time a treatment or fertilization is performed to monitor for any diseases or pests that come up. A treatment plan may also include all the following services.

Why do I need a Certified Arborist?
A Certified Arborist is not the same as a tree service or tree trimmer. When you hire a Certified Arborist, you know you’re getting the best possible tree care for your property and landscape. Certified Arborists must meet strict standards, including passing a rigorous exam, and participate in ongoing continuing education in order to stay up-to-date on the latest science in tree health care and insect and disease management. In other words, arborists are like the doctors in tree care.
What is the difference between an arborist and a landscaper?
Unless a landscaping company employs Certified Arborists, they are not giving you the same level of service. They simply don’t have the experience or expertise to understand the complexities of tree care. Taking care of trees is about so much more than just trimming branches, pruning shrubs and fertilization.
What does an arborist do?
Arborists perform many functions relating to the health and management of trees and shrubs. We perform residential tree inspections, provide education to our clients, offer treatments to maintain tree health, and also treat insect infestation and disease to save trees from needing to be removed from your property.
How can you tell if a tree is healthy?
Every tree has its own unique characteristics, which is why hiring a Certified Arborist is important. An arborist examines the canopy, leaf, twigs, bark, root collar, and soil to determine if a tree is healthy and, if it is not, what steps can be taken to help it thrive.
Can a dying tree be saved?
In many cases, a Certified Arborist can put together a treatment plan to save a diseased tree, but this depends upon the severity of the disease and how long the tree has been in poor health. Some types of problems can be extremely aggressive and must be treated in their earliest stages.
Do trees need maintenance?
Yes, trees do their best when they receive ongoing maintenance. With deep root feeding, strategic tree trimming, and other services as needed, you’ll notice that your tree canopies are fuller and the leaves are a deeper green, with no spots, discoloration, or yellow edges.
How do you treat a diseased tree?
The answer to this question depends upon the disease, but typically the solution is either soil injections , which direct a treatment to the roots of a tree, or trunk injection, which injects a treatment into the vascular tissue.
What is the best treatment for Emerald Ash Borer?
Emerald Ash Borer infestation is best treated with injections into the trunk. These trunk injections provide two years of protection and they eliminate the larvae that feed on the inside of the tree.
